Virginia Urology’s Weapons Policy
Virginia Urology is committed to providing a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
To support this commitment, firearms and other weapons are prohibited in Virginia Urology facilities and offices, except as otherwise permitted by applicable law or specifically authorized by Virginia Urology.
For purposes of this policy, “weapons” include, but are not limited to:
- Firearms
- Explosives
- Knives or blades intended for use as weapons
- Tasers or stun guns
- Any item used or intended to cause bodily harm
This policy applies to all patients, visitors, vendors, and guests, including individuals with concealed carry permits, unless otherwise required by law.
Exceptions may apply to:
- On-duty law enforcement/Correctional officers
- Security personnel authorized by Virginia Urology
- Individuals otherwise authorized by Virginia Urology
Any individual who fails to comply with this policy may be asked to remove the weapon from the premises or leave the facility.
Virginia Urology reserves the right to amend or enforce this policy in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
